Liam’s birthday marked the end of a long winter again this year! To celebrate we had a family dinner on his birthday full of his favorites: ribs, homemade Mac and cheese, roasted broccoli and and chocolate cake. Yumm! We surrounded him in love and stories and he shared his updates from school and the gaming mods he is creating. He opened presents which included tickets to an upcoming Primus/Perfect Circle/Pucifer concert with his dad. He was pumped as he has wanted to go to a concert for a while and this one checked all the boxes!
That weekend he invited a couple of his good buddies, Milo and Micheal, to come over for a Harbin Hotel marathon and sleepover. They seemed to be having a great time in the basement surrounded by comfy blankets and endless snacks. The next morning I made them a birthday party spread fit for 17 year olds.
Later that day we took a bigger group to a GIANT arcade that had everything teenage you might desire (go-karts, laser tag, ropes course, putt putt, bowling, games, bumper cars, trampoline park) and everything adult you might desire, Mr. Reader (a restaurant with a full bar). This place was massive!
After we did all the things we took the kids to Chipotle and back to our house for some cake (and to wash our hands really really well…blech!)
It was a great way to celebrate Liam’s trip around the sun. I love that kid and he surrounds himself with some other great ones.
