Last winter, we put together a game plan for how to score the most prized tickets in the country- Taylor Swift Summer Eras Tour 2023. We signed up for access codes, reached out to friends who might have early access to the sales for help and even commissioned loved ones to log in and see if they had any luck. We fell short and friends didn’t come through but…Grammie pulled it off! She sat and waited in the Ticketmaster Queue for over 8 hours to score 4 tickets to the Denver show! Ellie and I counted the days and planned our outfits with care. Katy and Ada decided to forgo a trip to Mexico to join us and it did not disappoint! That woman is freakin’ amazing!
Katy commented that the vibe of the concert was a little taste of what the world would be like if women were in charge. Everyone was so kind to each other, hyping each other up, complimenting outfits and creating a feeling of safety and sisterhood. Everyone traded friendship bracelets, held doors for each other and painted strangers’ faces. The show was incredible! She played the one ‘vault’ song that Ellie had been obsessed with with left us both in tears (although that wasn’t the only time!). Katy and Ada were totally into it and seemed to have a great time. We bought the girls pink cowboy hats that light up and ourselves fancy cocktails in pink disco balls. It was awesome!!!!!
We left it all on the field so to speak and the next morning we could hardly walk…let alone talk! Our ears echoed with the music of the night and our faces hurt from smiling.
Thank you Grammie!!!!!
My daughter-in-law Kaitlin and her sister were also at the concert in Denver. Did you see them? Hahahahaha They had rhinestones on their faces and so many friendship bracelets! I can tell it’s something none of you will ever forget! Yay for Grammie! Hearing the length she went to lifts her up on her pedestal. Lucky daughter and granddaughter.
