Kids were off last week so I took W/Th/F off too. Both Brent and I got our first COVID jab which helps alleviate so much anxiety. The process of injecting vaccines into the arms of informed people was fascinating- and super smooth. We were in and out in about 15 minutes and had already signed up for the next dose before we left. We still have a ways to go to be in the clear but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Once semi-vaccinated, we spent the rest of the spring break out and about. We went to Ellisville Harbor State Park where we hiked through the forest to a rocky beach where seals come to sun themselves! We at snacks, looked at the clouds making shapes in the sky and debated the difference between seals and sea lions. It was a lovely afternoon! Can you spot the seals (or sea lions) in my photos, Mr. Reader?
We spent a day in Plymouth where we explored the Pilgrim Hall Museum. We brought along Dylan, who has joined our family semi-full-time, and the kids did a learning scavenger hunt– welcome to the family Dylan! I spent one day refinishing an outdoor lounge chair and a good portion of my days looking at dirt willing seeds to sprout!
Beyond these fun family times, we also invited Dylan’s parents (‘the in-laws’) over for brunch and then joined them this weekend for a bbq at theirs. That is a fast friendship with endless entertaining texts…these kids better not screw it up!
So now both kids are back in school, in person, full time! How fun is that?!?! For us, I mean. And working in these spring colors is nothing short of awesome!
